During Sunday’s chilly lockdown walk, I wandered along the Thames from Rotherhithe into Central London, through Shoreditch and home. Just past #bermondseybeach the Thames Tideway project dominates the riverbank, working on a 25-mile “super-sewer” for London. A freezing easterly wind brought the first of a week-long snowstorm, but the birds seemed perky enough in the wind.
