View through the water on Regent’s Canal. As we walked we remarked upon how clean the water in canal was. So clear you could see the bottom and the myriad bits of jetsam, vegetation and unknowable things lurking there! Just after we’d passed some magnetists (if that’s a word) who had dragged out three (3!) safes, bikes and random stuff, there was a quieter stretch where the reflection, floating duck weed and canal-floor came together. If you are interested in magnetorising (who wouldn’t be?) here’s an article on the pair (https://ift.tt/2KZ3pkb) and their YouTube channel opens with a video of the Bethnal Green section of the canal – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK5yjKrJlXusGaJcZJ0NT3A Happy New Year :) 🧲 . . . #leica #leicauk #monochrom #m246 #summilux #50mmsummilux #canal #flaneur #magnetfishing #london #street #noir #blacknwhite

“Thank you – Call Again”. Wandering #lockdown #london streets for the Pre-Christmas re-opening (and who knows what that will bring to retail, hospitality and health sectors!) and I am reminded with sadness of the passing of #Soho butcher, Moe Albanese as a result of covid. I’ve only just caught up with this news. Moe the Butcher ran a store from@another age in #newyork’s soho. Amidst the concept stores, flagships and hipster joints, a craftsman serving a community. My condolences to his family and customers.
